1. Scope

This Privacy Policy describes how OyuLink handles personal information when you browse public pages, create an account, sign in, save opportunities, update your profile, and use personalized dashboard features.

It applies to traffic on www.oyulink.com and related OyuLink-operated services.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, information created while you use the service, and limited technical information needed to keep the product running safely.

  • Account and authentication data: email address, encrypted authentication records, and social-login identifiers provided by Google when you choose that sign-in method.
  • Profile data: name, university, degree level, field of study, bio, headline, research tags, mentor hours, country code, avatar URL, reminder preference, and language preference.
  • Opportunity-management data: saved listings, application tracking entries, portfolio items, badges, and similar dashboard content you add or receive through the service.
  • Technical and security data: request metadata, basic device/browser information, and logs needed for rate limiting, abuse prevention, debugging, and reliability monitoring.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to deliver the product you asked for and to operate OyuLink responsibly.

  • Authenticate accounts and maintain secure sessions.
  • Power profile, dashboard, scholarships, jobs, contests, and mentor-discovery experiences.
  • Store your saved items, applications, and portfolio entries so you can return to them later.
  • Send account-related flows such as password reset links and service notifications tied to your account activity.
  • Prevent abuse, investigate issues, enforce limits, and improve product reliability and performance.

4. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only when it is necessary to run the service, comply with legal obligations, or protect OyuLink, our users, and the public.

Our current infrastructure and service providers include Supabase for authentication and hosted database services, Railway for backend/API hosting, Vercel for web hosting and delivery, and Google when you choose the supported social-login option.

5. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide the service, maintain security records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.

If you delete your account, we remove profile and account-linked data from our active systems, subject to limited retention in backups, logs, or records required for security and legal compliance.

6. Your choices and rights

You can review and update most profile information directly from your OyuLink dashboard. You can also request account deletion from the Account Settings page.

If you signed in with a social-login provider, you can also manage that connection through the provider account settings you control.

  • Update profile details from /dashboard/profile.
  • Delete your account from /account/settings.
  • Stop using social login by signing in with another supported method or deleting your account.

7. Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to a product of this type, including authenticated access controls, hosted infrastructure, and operational monitoring. No internet service can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, but we work to reduce risk and respond to issues promptly.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date on this page and may provide additional notice inside the product when appropriate.
